MS Art Club visits Pollock/Krasner House

October 27th, 2009: Mrs Vogelsberg & Mr Potter escorted the members of IMS Art Club to historic Pollack/Krasner House, the residence of renowned artists Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner. Students were treated to a tour of the house, grounds and studio by artist Ruby Jackson. After being introduced to the concept of the Abstract Expressionism the students created their own masterpieces in the style of “Jack the Dripper”. A show of their works and pictures documenting the excursion can be viewed in the Middle School lobby beginning November 4th.
