Applications for Islip Friends of the Arts awards and scholarships, grades 9 – 12 are now available. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or from Music, Art and English teachers. Please submit completed applications to the Guidance Office no later than May 5th. You can also download the application by clicking this link.

Lauren Goldstein (2011) has secured a position in the very prestigious art contest, “Long Island’s Best” at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington. Lauren is the first Islip student in four years to emerge at the top of the arduous selection process executed by the museum curators.

Lauren’s work will be on display at the Heckscher Museum (map) beginning April 17th. The exhibition continues through May 2nd. We applaud the hard work and effort of all student applicants and congratulate Lauren on her acceptance into this selective exhibit. For a description of the show, click this link. more… »
